Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2026

There are no accounts, no tracking cookies, and no analytics watching you. Your music files are deleted the instant your download starts, and most of what this site does never touches a server at all.

Your music files: processed, then gone

When you stamp a file, it is written to a temporary folder, processed, streamed back to you, and the folder is deleted the moment the response is sent, and on failure paths too. No copies are kept, anywhere, ever. Nothing you upload is stored, indexed, shared, or used to train anything.

Our request logs record metadata only: file size, format, bar count, track count, and processing time. Never a filename, never a song title, never a note of music.

What the server does store

DataWhyKept
Licence key + the email you paid with So a purchase is real, and so we can re-send a lost key Until you ask us to delete it
A hashed usage counter: an irreversible hash of your IP plus a random browser id, and a count for the month Enforces the free-tier limit without knowing who you are Rolling monthly counters
Anonymous daily counts: page views, which external site linked here (domain only), success/failure counts Tells us if anything is broken or if anyone arrived Counts only; no ids, no IPs, no paths
Feedback you type, the page you sent it from, and an email only if you chose to include one So we can fix things and reply Until acted on; email used only to reply to you

That is the entire database. No profiles, no behavioural history, no record of what music you own or play.

What stays in your browser

The library, the learning tools, the tuner and the practice shelf run entirely on your machine. This data never leaves it and we cannot see it:

  • Local storage: your theme, a random anonymous id, your licence key, and tool preferences.
  • Browsing-data storage (IndexedDB): your library index, the permission handle for your tab folder, cached album art, detected keys, and generated practice files.
  • Your tab folder itself is read directly by your browser, with your permission. File contents are only ever sent to us for the single file you explicitly choose to stamp.

Clearing site data in your browser erases all of it. The library settings also offer a backup .zip so you can keep a copy yourself.

Cookies and tracking

None. No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party analytics, no fonts or scripts loaded from other companies' servers. Everything the site needs is served from the site itself. The browser storage described above is functional, not tracking, and is never sent to us.

The two third parties

  • Stripe handles payment. When you buy a licence, your payment details go to Stripe, not to us; we never see or store a card number. We receive your email address and a payment confirmation. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what they do.
  • Album art in the library is fetched by your browser directly from a public music-metadata service, using artist names from your folder. It never passes through our servers, and we never see or store the art or the names, but that request does leave your machine, so if you'd rather it didn't, don't enable art, or use the library without connecting a folder.

Your choices

  • Delete your data: email us and we'll delete your licence record and any feedback you sent. (Deleting the licence record means the key stops working, so tell us if you just want the feedback gone.)
  • Get a copy: ask, and we'll send what the database holds about you, realistically your licence row and any feedback.
  • Everything local: clear site data in your browser; nothing needs our involvement.

Children

The service isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data. There's very little to collect in any case.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and a notice goes on the site. We will never retroactively start storing something we promised not to store.

Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests, anything else: the contact address.
